Just got word from HoshinoUSA of something special planned for RG fans:

"There will definitely be some kind of higher end RG reissue at the Summer NAMM show. It will be limited production, not limited edition and not handcrafted, which should make the price not quite as steep as the RE (reissue) models."

If you thought the RG550 reissue announced last summer was exciting news...stayed tuned for the big announcement coming in June '08.

Ibanez Review World will cover the news from Summer '08 NAMM being held on June 20-22, 2008 at Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Why wait until the NAMM show? The cat is out of the bag on the newest RG Reissue! Look for 2 beautiful RG770DX models to be available later this year. You can get them in any color you want...as long as you want red (RR, Ruby Red) or blue (LB, Lazer Blue)! Smiley These stunners are made in Japan, to the original 1990/1991 dimensions. However, the neck is the more current 5 piece maple/walnut construction.

List price should be in the $1799.99 vicinity and that includes a case.
